A minor scale is like a major scale, but the sequence is different from major scale. There are three minor scales in a different mode. The first is the Natural minor which is sad mode and its 8 sounds or notes ( an octave).
Every major scale has a relative minor. The relative minor starts from the sixth degree or note of the major scale. The C major scale is 1C, 2D, 3E ,4F, 5G, 6A, 7B, 8C. Here the sixth degree is A. A minor is the relative minor of C major. When you start the sixth note, it ascended and descended on really the same notes in the relative major scale. For example C major is C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C and the relative minor is A, B, C, D, E, F, G, A called A minor. As you know, each natural minor scale shares the same sounds or notes as a specific major scale. The fingers of the white key natural minor scales are exactly the same as the white key major scales.
We can get minor keys from the major scale. There are 8 keys in major scales and should step down the 3rd 6th 7th keys or notes from major scale. That means, in C major scale 3rd note is E, 6th note is A and 7th note is B, here you should step down this three keys or notes ( E—E flat, A—A flat B—B flat). For instance C natural minor is C D E flat F G A flat B flat C and apply this theory to other keys too.
