Hatakambari
Hatakambari, the 18th raga in the Melakarta system of Carnatic music, is again a sampurna raga that has all the seven notes in place. In Muthuswami Dikshitar school of Carnatic music, this raga is known as Jayashuddhamalavi.
Arohana: S R1 G3 M1 P D3 N3 S
Avarohana: S N3 D3 P M1 G3 R1 S
The swaras are shadjam, shuddha rishabham, antara gandharam, shuddha madhyamam, panjamam, shatsruthi dhaivatham, kakali nishadham. The prati madhyamam equivalent of this raga is Vishwambari which is the 54th Melakarta raga.
Hatakambari is the sixth and last raga in the Agni chakra and has mnemonic name Agni-Sha. The next raga in the list Jhankaradhwani falls in the next chakra.
The 18th raga in the list made by Venkatamakhin is Jayashuddhamalavi which has similar notes as in Hatakambari but differs in scales. It can be called a shadava-sampurna raga which means that the arohana has only six swaras while the avarohana has all seven swaras and that too in vakra prayoga.

Hatakambari has only a few janya ragas like Hamsananthini and Simhala and they are rarely heard being sung in concerts just like their parent raga. Shifting using Graha bhedam gives the raga Gavambhodi. Some of the compositions in Hatakambari are Alalagada by Koteeswara Iyer, Naraharim by Muthuswami Dikshitar and RakshaAsumam Sri Lakshmi Pathe by Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna.
